Let's compare the experience of someone who dates a "wounded deer" woman vs dating a highly successful, wealthy businessman.
See, this is one of the reasons why women have it so much easier than men. They often date these very competent, successful people who can carry them with ease.
Or even if it's not THAT dramatic, they certainly tend to date people who are significantly more competent than themselves.

I'm of course not saying that their strategy is objectively better - for one thing it inherently places them in the weaker position - but it definitely has huge advantages.
