I don't enjoy the company of others too much. Sure, I'd prefer having a romantic partner and a few close friends than be a complete hermit.

I've been through phases of isolation over the years. It is cope. But don't been in a huge hurry to let people in. Sus them out properly. Don't get too desperate or clinging. And accept the fact that people will come and go.
