I was taking some photos of my toy soldiers at a memorial, and two guys and a foid all of which were late teens or early 20's on motorcycles showed up to pose for Instagram photos. One of them asked me “yo dawg, can I use yo camera?” I said no, and despite that he kept pressuring me to give up my camera. He then started throwing a lot of insults my way. One of them he said (in an incredibly passive aggressive way) “ur jus' takin photos of yo gi joes, I'm tryna to take photos of real people to make memories bro.” Implying my shit doesn't matter but his does.

Then I told him “if your memories are that precious, then don’t buy overpriced shoes that are 300 dollars a pair and instead buy a nice camera with that money.” After that he said "yo jus fo a sec bro" then reached for my camera and he tripped on a bench's leg landing in the dirt and rocks. The other guy watching this happen started walking towards me so I grabbed my figures then fast-walked to my car and they just stared at me as I drove away.

You did right by standing your ground verbally and you are NOT a coward for walking away. Also, you respectfully declined his request, so you didn't escalate it, imo.

Even if you are a trained fighter, any good martial arts teacher will teach you that the best voars of action is always to de escalate and to make a run for it if all else fails.

Fighting should be your last resort as any fight, even if one on one can end in you dying.
Real street fights are dirty and not predictabble at all, like in the movies.

I did Ji-Jitsu for 6 years and boxing for 4. I'm good on that part and I'm 300 pounds. I'm not to worried about fighting but more worried about going to jail.
