like i was saying in one of my previous replies regarding Alien, the synthetics (robots) in this universe do have a sort of human element to them.

this is why Ash looks so conflicted just after having thrown Ripley on the bed; he's looking at the porn adorning the wall in front of him and starts feeling sexual urges. since synths apparently do not have genitalia (i think i read about Ridley mentioning this elsewhere but cant find the source), the closest he can get to a sexual relationship is by using a sort of analogous penis, in this case a rolled up magazine. what better time to fulfill his urges? Ripley is laying unconscious in front of him and she is a threat to his main directive, that is to recover this alien lifeform. he has to get rid of her, so why not have some fun before disposing of her?

I think that it is because he was just a primitive model : in ALIENS , the android bishop tells ripley "that could never happen now with our behavioural inhibitors"

I lurked some superbased forum about the saga and I tell you that this specific argument is nothing compared to the powerful dilemmas the movies make room for. If I re-find the original uncutted screenplay of the movies I will link it here. There is also a map of the alien universe sectors to argue about timetravel etc.



This androidsex thing is truly strange, the various directors made conflicting decisions for sure, to add to the fucking confusion. Even bishop is suspected of strange behaviour, no matter how trustworthy it appears in ALIENS.

Also a fan of Biehn. It was a shame he (and Newt) was killed off between movies after surviving all that shit in Aliens. Sad when he died in Terminator 1 as well.
