We too, its called cosmetic surgery. Tho its too expensive and not advanced enough that we could fundamentally change our appearance and hold on this state for long (if not forever).

They could also be advanced enough to change their genome structure, skeletal build, they dont necessarily need to "hit the gym" but manipulate their cellular structure however they please.

Ultimately they would face a different problem tho - something that we face as well right now - Lookism. If everyone continously looks better, is stronger, more intelligent, taller (or shorter if thats their definition of beauty) they would eventually hit a level were everyone is essentially the same.

"Limit of Physical Being" so either they surpass that as well via virtualization or they all just becone asexual as nothing gives them the idea of "Copulation is a must and goal".

Thus they could go extinct from simply overexaggerating their means of life.

Its in fact kinda similar to the ultra rich on our planet and the "Mouse Utopia" Experiment.

Everyone tries to continously get stronger, faster, more creative, more intelligent - simply BETTER then the next guy, that they eventually forgot why and for what their original ambition even was for.
