Ode to the NEET Life
(Not in Education, Employment, or Training)
No deadlines lurk, no meetings call,
No boss to text, no tests at all.
While others chase a ticking clock,
I brew my tea and pet my cock.
The morning sun can take its time,
I rise when dreams have said goodbye.
No dress codes here, no shoes required—
Just sweatpants, memes, and thoughts inspired.
No office small talk, fake and forced,
No “team-building” I must endure.
My coworkers are cats and clouds,
And silence never feels too loud.
I’ve read the Stoics, watched the stars,
Learned ancient myths and tuning cars.
I deep dive into niche delights—
Philosophy at 3 a.m. nights.
Why trade my peace for stressed-out pay,
To rush through life, day after day?
The NEET path holds a secret creed:
To simply be, not strive or bleed.
Sure, riches may not line my shelf,
But I’ve got time—my truest wealth.
To think, to dream, to grow, reflect,
To master life in ways they’ve wrecked.
So toast the NEET, the soul unchained,
Who chose the quiet, not the game.
For freedom’s not in job or school—
It’s living life by your own rule.
