Serious AI becoming AGI is my last hope and the only reason why i'm not killing myself

Artificial Intelligence has become an hot topic over the last months and it's gonna cause an earthquake in the job market over the following years as Goldman Sachs predict that over 300 million of jobs are gonna be displaced by AI over the following years(25% of USA and EU job force will lose the job due to AI)
The job losses will be atrocious and will spark chaos and conflicts and i don't see UBI coming so lots of people are gonna be fucked really bad and life will become increasingly worse.
But that's not what i'm thrilled about.
I'm thrilled by AI going into AGI.
AGI is basically a human with super intelligence in the body of a machine.
When AGI will be created there are 2 options: either it will bring us to the golden age or it will end the human race; both options are good for me.
Why don't i kill myself now since i'm also ok if the outcome of AGI is death?
Because Death is better than living, but eternal happiness is better than death.
Sadly AGI isn't near even though some people like this lad say it's gonna be achieved by the end of the year, but i don't think that's the case.

Anyway, Because probably AI development is gonna be treated as a human race extermination weapon like for nuclear weapons and thus regulated as such, i don't think that companies will reveal how near AGI they are, and i'm hopeful to see it coming over the next decade (i'm optimistic i know).
AGI is my last hope, i'm basically living for that moment to come.

we live in a society that is supposed to prioritize the collective benefit, we benefit each other with trade and exchange of products, displacing thousands of people for the benefit of a few individuals sounds unfair, and an affront to the precepts of this collective life.

Human intelligence is comparable to video-game like NPCs (our "emotions"... it's laughable, actually... it's just brain chemistry: and a good part of them do not benefit for the sake of survival). X reaction -> do this (unless you're "mentally ill", AKA bent pins underneath your CPU socket (brain)). What differentiates us from mundane animals is, actually, creativity — something that can be hard to replicate, but still.

I'm sorry to break the news, but we're not that "unique". Now, what about AI-powered systems (language models) surpassing the average human in average tasks? This is 100% possible, and it won't take many years from now.
Blame our low-tier components (DNA, IQ). High IQ privileged idiots will be required to lower down their ego.
