Theory AI artwork is getting a bit tedious, right?

I think it's becoming like CG did by the mid-2000s. People were just getting a bit tired of it and started to crave things that were more real or at least looked more real.

Not that it's not used heavily these days, but generally speaking it doesn't get the spotlight and just works in the background, because people want to feel like things are real, for the most part.

As for AI-created "cartoons"... that's a different thing but definitely seems to lack the depth of human-created stuff.

It actually almost makes technology less appealing. Because you feel like you can't trust that anything is real. So it makes you want to look out of the window. lol

Maybe that's just me. I guess beyond a certain level of fakeness... it's almost like living in the Matrix where you want to experience the real world.

It's almost like a line has now been drawn between tech and the real world.

Before, tech and the real world felt quite connected because it was often a window into things that really existed.

But if we now can't trust anything we see on our screens... it makes it more like tech was in the '80s and before where it was all digital and didn't look real.

Yeah that's true. It can help a bit but not 100%.

just a year ago AI looked fucked. it looked like fever dream tier shit. now AI is almost indistinguishable from real stuff and you need a very very keen eye to tell. same with voices.

It's pretty scary. Kind of exciting as well. I'm sure we'll be able to chad fish like crazy once Ai video gets perfected.
