One of the benefits of having AGI when we get it is granting us the ability to perform agentic operations on the computer completely autonomously minus the starter prompt.
For me personally, I would have it automatically install the current SOTA open source video generation model, and all the requirements to get it running.
I'd have it compile a shopping cart with all the computer components I'd need to run this all efficiently, all I'd have to do is inspect the items.
I'd have it update everything on my computer BUT first research online if there's any problems other users are having before installation.
I'd have it make me a portfolio where I can store all of my projects and sort them by type/progress.
I'd vibecode with it to create games and even have it create the sounds/sprites. Better yet have it code a program to do this that can run image/audio diffusion models and give me a folder where I can select the sounds/images I like.
I'd have it collaborate in real time while creating a visual novel by having it offer suggestions for the story, based on how it would effect the story later on so it doesn't feel predictable or stale.
I'd have it code a sidebar where it will be an active part of the screen, basically giving my computer a personality. Just like above, it would react in real time to what I'm doing. So if I'm generating art or getting really interested in a topic I can have it give me suggestions.
I'd have it analyze my room to see how I can organize things more efficiently by telling me alternative locations to place/compile things.
I would get it to autonomously create wallpapers from my image generations on wallpaper engine, and I would just tell it what I'd like to see.
I would have it code me a windows program that would let me press a hotkey and circle something for the AI to analyze. Let's say I circle around an area in the wallpaper maker, and say I wanna put a moving smoke effect in there or etcetera.
I would have it create custom cars for GTA. I would have it analyze lots of videos on how to do it.
What sorts of things would you use AGI for?
