Yeah, i heard good things about BenQ monitors.
But i think the Omen models by HP are on that same level.
Eye care wise, and connectivity which is what i´m looking for.

Buying TN in 2021 is not the smartest purchase.

Don't buy TN, it's shit requires you to sit precisely in 90 degrees or colors become inverted

IPS panels are too bright, and lack contrast.
Without a good contrast, games that have dark environments will look grey-ish.
It´s not fitting.

I know VA has a good contrast on par with TN, but i don´t fancy the VA panels either.

The screens i like the most will always be the LCD kind.

then get a good VA panel :lul:
but then you will have some ghosting

If you want both good colors and contrast and no ghosting, you need oled. But it will be expensive and susceptible to burn in.
there is no perfect pc monitor out there yet, you have to give up on something. might as well wait for micro led.

"IPS too bright" then turn down backlight and improve contrast while youre at it.

No matter how much you lower the brightness, monitors that are naturally bright will have that annoying backlight bleed which causes eye strain.
But there are others that are enjoyable to let you sit down for 3-4-5 hours non-stop and be immersed without feeling a thing.
I can´t even stay half an hour without developing a migraine.

Reason why i need to get rid of this asus monitor out the door.
It looks good, but gives me painful eyestrain in return.
The craptop where im typing rn doesn´t toast my eyeballs to a blender.

ive had a bazillion monitors. one was 1500$
ive personally found high end VA to be the best
buying TN is simply unwise as the colors are crap.

That largely depends on the budget, model and build quality.
There are TN panels with inaccurate colors, absolutely.
You´d need an ICC profile to assort that problem.

I have a TN and I don't see anything wrong with it honestly. But 1920x1080 seems to be too small. Funny how big it looked after abandoning 1366x768. I'd want to buy 2560x1440, but I feel that my money would be wasted on a whim. Sad how the prices of monitors only grow.

Isn't it marketing propaganda? Just install f.lux or use Windows 10 night mode.
It doesn´t say anywhere.
Only the BenQ manufacturer likes to advertise eye care technology, but they are not the only ones using that technology.
From the videos i´ve seen with the Omen monitors, they don´t give off that strong pulsation that wears down your vision.
Most of the Asus monitors are the total opposite, LED garbage that looks pretty but it´s bad for your eyes.
Not even those Gunnar glasses can compensate.

I bought a Philips 272E1GAJ which is a VA panel, instead of the Omen 27i. ( IPS panel )

27" Philips 272E1GAJ - Specifications

Along with the Omen 25, standard TN panel.

I´ll have them by Thursday.
Someone told me that the IPS panels are way too bright, even if you adjust the settings.
Prioritizing the contrast ( deep dark colors ) over the color accuracy is the way to go.
I´m tired of this saturated bright shit that i´m getting from the Asus VG248QE.
Hopefully the upgrade will fix my problem.
A good monitor is essential for long hours of gaming.

You need this bro
The Gunnar glasses are very appealing ngl, but i don´t get eye strain from playing games or watching movies when im staring at the TV.
One is an LCD Plasma 32", and the other is an CRT TV 32", both are made by the same manufacturer. ( Philips )

This is the first Philips PC monitor that im buying rn.
I´ve always had either Samsung or Asus as a PC monitor.
Same could be said about HP, since i want to try one of these Omen models.
Well, hoping for the best. :dab:
