Almost 99% of the human population mews congenital. Non-mewers breathe thru mouth because they have allergies or structures that prevent them from breathing through the nose. Chronic mouth breathing is very rare. Mike Mew is retarded. Literally no one mouth breathes. Unlucky mouth breathers like me have a long and narrow face when they grow up and have to undergo surgery without any insurance assistance.

I think it is very true when you are younger that mouth posture will change how your face grows. In adult life, I think the changes are pretty minor, and are often exaggerated. I've yet to see one adult case where things noticeably change.
