Welfare (TANF) in the US is easy to get on. The problem is unless you have lots of kids, it's far from enough to live on. Also, they'll hound you constantly to try finding a job, regular meetings, etc... and you can't stay on it forever.

SSI/SSDI like I'm on requires a medical diagnosis.

I don't know what people are expecting to be cut because mental illness is already a massive problem in the US among the homeless. Unless they bring back asylums, that would open the door to disaster.

"Incels don't have an "idealogy" they have a condition brought about due to being unattractive as a result of being born with poor facial bones as a result of bad genetics. The things they say about female nature and hypergamy are backed up by scientific studies in evolutionary psychology. They go a little more extreme than the red pill crowd because they don't have any expensive seminars to sell people as unlike red pill types they are generally honest and not grifters espousing their viewpoints for money."

I never considered trying. Like you said, they harass you with calls/in person meetings every month and best you get is $300 a month. Not worth it. But i’ve heard of some cels being denied despite an autism diagnosis. SSI is almost impossible to get on
