Whenever you see a good looking new face on a new character in a show or movie you know they're going to be important because why would they waste a good looking face for a character to be a background character? It just wouldn't make sense for someone to look on par with the main cast and not have a big role. The same thing goes for real life. If a new student comes to your class and they're good looking, you know they're going to take up a lot of space and quickly become part of the "storyline".
