to be honest, it is better to be alone than to be around people with defeatist mindsets. this will be the last time i talked to him, i will stick to my entrepreneurial friends tbh

operating under the assumption that he has your best interests in mind and has only good intentions, he might think that he's doing you a favour by offering such advice, but in this case it might be biased due to his recent life experiences or if he actually thinks he knows what's best for you, then he must be very short-sighted.

he could also be projecting himself onto you as a coping mechanism because he failed his family business and is now a teacher, assuming he dislikes his job

the only way to know is by asking him why he said what he said

i always see the same rhetoric of "fakecel/truecel/incel trait if you have or lack X trait", i think it just creates unnecessary hostility between members of the incel community and should be discouraged

I didn't pretend to add hostility, but having below average IQ just like I do does more damage than good. Solid and logical points you've got there,
