War of the Adults
This thread will have spoilers for all the chapters that have been released so far (8)
so go quickly to read it, if you want to experience it for yourself.

Chapter 1
2010
This is the story of Yutaro Urashima. A 15 year old kid who has a positive and responsible attitude, because he wants to become “a real adult”.
A

After disciplining a betabuxxer for smoking in a school zone, then writing “Don't do bad things, even when no one is watching” in his top secret adulthood article, he spots a cat in the middle of the street.

A truck driver is about to run over the cat, so Yutaro runs to save it.

AGE 30
Could we say that Yutaro is a wizard now? :feelsEhh: :feelshaha:

T

After being hit by the truck, he was unconscious for 15 years. He finally wakes up and a new futuristic and more technologically advanced society awaits him. :society:
Yutaro regrets having been unconscious for so long. But his mother warns him that it didn't cost them too much money, because his heroic act became a very popular news item all over Japan, so he got some very important donations from virtue signalers.

Especially one person turned out the best because of the tragedy. “Isamu Kuroda", the Wageslave who called the ambulance and later adopted the cat that Yutaro saved.
This new society is strange. Some people make unfamiliar hand signals :)feelsokman:) and seem to be watching you all the time. Although you can see that everyone is excessively friendly. :feelssus:
The Wizard Yutaro was a NEET for 15 years, so he sticks to the bluepill and goes looking for a job. He is quickly accepted in a coffee shop where he meets Misato, a pretty and kind girl.

Later, his mother tells him that Isamu Kuroda, the one who saved his life, wants to see him.

Yutaro's tragedy was Isamu's fortune, because thanks to that accident he had the opportunity to start a party called “save the cat”.
Craziest of all, Isamu took the top secret article of adulthood and read the 38 rules. He used the rules and imposed them throughout Japan to create the “real adults” society that our protagonist supposedly desired.
But to explain it somehow, the way in which he applied those rules was not very...

...ethical.
In a few words. Isuma created a security system that uses active cameras throughout Japan. Which can be used by anyone simply by using your phone, as well as having cameras in every house and private place.

You are monitored all the time. It seems impossible, but unfortunately, Isuma has evidence to prove that this can be very good.

Since the cameras were implemented, everyone is watched and even possible deaths from a heart attack could be stopped thanks to the 24/7 vigilance, among many crimes that ceased once everything became safer thanks to this.

Also, the system has “ranks”, the higher, the more respected and more opportunities you will have, something like “Influencers" that by behaving properly, they receive this gesture “:feelsokman:” that gives them karma points, some shit like Soyddit (Viewers can even comment). :feelskek:
Chapter 2

He clearly does not like the idea, also influenced by the 15-year breakthrough that everything around him has undergone. Not to mention that he is still a child mentally.

:feelscomfy: Over for NEETcels.

First day of work. After talking to Misato about her doubts about the “Garden-based society” and their way of keeping an eye on everyone at all times, he begins to welcome anyone who comes to the coffee shop.
Our Wizardcel's bad luck didn't end with just being unconscious for 15 years, because his first client turned out to be an “Upper”.

?

To be an “Upper” is to be a person with a very high rank in the society of the garden. This idiot even had his own camera because he was a Streamer, seriously, his "job" is to review coffee shops and he behaves like an average IRL Streamer.

:feelskek::feelskek::feelskek::feelskek::feelskek::feelskek::feelskek:

But the problem is not just how much of an idiot this Upper is, but the real reason he does this. He doesn't do “coffee shop reviews”, what he really does is to review the pretty girls who work there and then invite them to his house, using his rank as an advantage because in the society of the garden, one criticism coming from an Upper can ruin your whole life.

The Upper looks at Misato and talks about her private life, he knows this because he saw the public cameras in the girl's house and it makes her uncomfortable.
Jestermaxx

Misato rejects the Jestermaxxer and he starts acting sad in front of his viewers to manipulate the girl that his NPCs are going to give bad reviews of the store, so that it will close.

Yutaro was all the time watching this along with the other workers, but the boss himself had stopped him from teaching the Streamer some manners.
The boss agrees to let Yutaro bring him a cup of coffee. He does it correctly, but the Upper starts looking for excuses to get Misato to agree to go on a date with him, in exchange for him not making the store close, as happened with many others.
Yutaro finally acts like an adult should.

Adultmaxx

The Upper tries to manipulate him, but he doesn't give a shit and decides to quit his job right then and there.
You Dirty Inkwell!

About chapter 2.
This is a fantastic representation of Virtue Signalling. People don't care about doing good, they only care about using it to climb the ranks and receive benefits for it, everyone helps others in exchange for karma and they won't be interested in you if you don't give them that in return.

Receiving karma from an Upper will give you more points than receiving karma from a normal person. Also in the next chapters we will see capitalism in action, where you only have to be wealthy and hot to earn karma just for being attractive, being with a lot of girls or acting specifically as society wants.

If you now go and read chapter 2, you will notice in more detail how the real problem are the Upper viewers, who are aware of the manipulation and harassment the girl is suffering at the moment, but they have no empathy for it, as well as they also enjoy watching how the Jestermaxxer uses his power to manipulate Misato. Because they are just a streamer's chat comments, they don't feel the need to care about the other person since they are at a considerable advantage of numbers and opinions, compared to the girl who was being exposed publicly and privately.

The anonymity and unmoderated opinions of people are exactly like now. Is this fiction or reality? the future could be exactly like this, it would only need to force everyone to lose their privacy and make their lives public, so that what happens in the manga also happens in real life.

This was done thanks to @LUCK for making me aware of this fantastic manga. :feelsokman:

Amazing summary, anyone watching this thread should definitely read the rest of the manga and catch up :feelsstudy:
