For a laugh that crossed the line,
My words, sharp as glass,

A cloak of cold regret.
Family once warm, now distant,
Eyes that once sparkled, now dimmed,
Echoes of joy turned to whispers,
My place at the table,
Empty and cold.
Two days, a mere blink,

Each tick of the clock,
A reminder of the breach,
A joke, a jest, a slip—
And now I wander alone.
