Only five children from two roommates were raised in the family of the two murdered girls, police said. The 41-year—old woman had girls 18, 13 and 10 years old from the first roommate, 2 and 5 years old from the second, 32-year-old, with whom she lives.

The family was characterized as "positive": the 13-year-old girl had previously had no "mental abnormalities."

According to media reports, the parents left on business, the 10-year-old girl was also not at home, and their 13-year-old sister remained to look after the younger ones.

A schoolgirl stabbed her two younger sisters, aged 2 and 5, hid the bodies on the balcony and went for a walk in the park. The parents returned home in the evening and found the bodies of their daughters. When the mother texted her daughter to ask if she knew what happened at home, she replied: "It's me! Aahahah."
