It was essentially the day where the United States government became more oppressive on its own citizens where it has progressively gotten worse in the last two decades since then. It was also an important historical milestone for many, namely the event that destroyed old America creating the current hellscape we've been in ever since with the new America.

Bush is a moron. 9/11 was a co-op between the globalist deep state (NWO) and Israel, who used zealous Mossad operatives - the kind who have no compunction towards killing goyim, and who would rather commit suicide than talk and threaten the homeland. OBL never ever claimed responsibility for the twin tower attacks. He was merely a convenient scapegoat for the MSM narrative, and the American people needed a tangible target - they needed a face and a name to hate.
The purpose was two fold. On the home front, it was to erode the freedom of privacy and give the governments legal carte blanche to spy on all citizens (and anyone, really) without reason or cause (Patriot act). Want to spy on someone? Just say you suspect them of terrorism. Done. No red tape, no legal repercussions. On the global scale, it was another step towards maintaining pressure on countries that aren't fully onboard or bought by the globalists, by having the military arm of the NWO (US military) have such a presence in a key region to create the fertile ground for chaos once they leave (like in Iraq also), as evidenced by the gifting of Afghanistan to a group that has never ever been classified as a terrorist group by the US State Department (go the state department home page and look at their list of terrorist groups right now and see if you can find the Taliban there; they never were, since 1997).
Now, 20 years later, the NWO need to erode another freedom: movement. The bullshit pandemic is the perfect Hegelian problem for this goal.
