Sons Of The Forest is a masterpiece.
It set an impossible standard for other gayme developers to meet. Obviously those chimps won't ever come close in the years to come. It'll take some time for the gayming industry to up their standards and gain sanity. In the meanwhile, we'll have to suffer outdated graphics and unpolished game mess.

The og one is miles off in my opinion.
The newer sons of the forest is the new golden standards for basecamping. Only thing that is weak is the story of the characters. There is very little effort put into the story that is present, although the actual backstory is fantastic, which includes the origin of the island, the reason everything happened, and more.

Really the graphics are great, combat is smooth and fantastic, and you have an extremely elaborate base and world building mechanics.

Honestly no game will come close until at least a few years from now.

If you didn't like the original, I didn't either, but you should try out the new one, for free. Find it cracked on fitgirl site. I bought it once i realized how much i like it.
