They are still around, but they're not quite as prevalent now. It's more of a divorced boomer thing. It doesn't attract any new blood because most young guys do not share those life experiences. Our culture, economy and dating scene is even worse, so most young men aren't under the illusion that they can be happy alone. We are incapable of swallowing the cope.
