alternative day fasting is LIFEFUEL. literally 0 calories yesterday and now 4300+, I can eat without restraint. been eating food for hours and multiple times

i mean it is obvious. our ancestors didn't eat three times a day with snacks and desserts in between

they will hunt and then eat what they got at the evening... if not... they didn't eat shit

i don't know where the fuck the modern world has this idea of the pyramid nutrition system and this eat consistently bullshit

that is why we are all depressed and easy to control to

Interesting, I have been doing intermittent fasting (near omad) since late January. I lost more than 20 lbs. I am legit doing to maximize growth because people in my family grow told they grow until 25 and early I grow in my 20s.
This point may be rant. Honestly, I have been intermittently fasting nearly 7 years. Some months I did OMAD and sometimes 16/8; I was mostly around the middle. Around the middle fasted, I gained 44 lbs around two years so ironic. Weirdly, lately, I get hungry at night which forced me to sleep early. I never recall something like this case happen to me while fasting. Honestly, I just hoped it's a sign of growth since last I was this hungry as a kid I had a grow spurt. I want to ascend so bad and I want to eat a lot. I don't think I ate past 4000 calories for years. Just Gigachad's height would be enough to make my BMI healthy for life. I am tired of fasting, exercise, and weight loss. It's like torture and I just want to ascend physically quickly, lol.

I’ll give it a try. I also like the self discipline aspect, I need more of that. One thing that worries me is last time I went a whole day without eating I hit the fuck out of my tongue when I was sleeping. Like it drew blood. :feelspuke:

As someone who has type 2 diabetes due to years of being fat, do it. Do whatever it takes to get to a lower weight
 
Question for @Transcended Trucel i fasted yesterday and it went pretty well. However my sleep was a little disturbed due to the hunger. Any tips to combat this?

Your body will eventually get used to it. But you can use melatonin before sleep, use no electronics 1-2 hrs before bed. Possibly take salt supplements (potassium/sodium/magnesium) 4-5 hrs before bed as well.

You're not going to lose weight if you eat 3 days worth of food for every 1 day you fast.
I'm losing weight myself and I only see daily weight loss at <900 calories a day.

My original goal was losing weight and I was doing around 2400-3000 calories every other day, averaging to 1200-1500 which was enough. My current goal is no longer weight loss but merely maintenance and in that sense 4000-5000 calories is fine.
 
I've been eating two meals a day, just lunch and dinner so something like a 6/18.

I guess you need to work up to OMAD and then to where you are now.
I don't know if I could stomach that much at once. Unless you are eating over a long period of time on your eating days?
I do like eating meat so it wouldn't be too hard to get those calories in.

I normally don't OMAD and alternate fast as I can't handle it most of the time, but there are ways to train yourself to do so. Competitive eaters have methods where they constantly consume low calories foods in massive volumes to train their stomach to tolerate more. I am not willing to do this as the process isn't enjoyable and not worth it for me.

I've always wanted to experiment with a 5 day OMAD + 2 day water fast on the weekends. I love everything about fasting except the fact that I feel really cold, like my hands become freezing cold.

I have the cold problem as well on fasting days sometimes, not sure what the fix is. I am visiting a diet specialist and also an allergy specialist. Will see if I have some vitamin deficiency or other problem causing this

True, I just eat when I'm hungry I don't care about breakfast, lunch and dinner
 
I have the cold problem as well on fasting days sometimes, not sure what the fix is. I am visiting a diet specialist and also an allergy specialist. Will see if I have some vitamin deficiency or other problem causing this
This isn't related to fasting, but when I was in undergrad, during one of the winters I slept every night with the heater off and my windows wide open. This was in a pretty cold place too, where we would often get 12+ inches of snow on some days in January. I think my body adapted to the cold and I would be able to walk to class in the mornings wearing a light jacket when other people were shivering in their winter coats.

Nowadays I keep my place climate controlled so my temperature tolerance is complete shit.

The only problem with irregular meal times is it sometimes throws off my shits. Like I can't be eating too late at night or early in the morning or my shits are fucked.

sadly the body and the brain has many use it or lose it mechanisms.

I'm at 1800-2000 cals a day while gymming regularly. I was a fat fuck, i still am fat but I'm getting there :feelsaww:

Helps to stay hydrated so drink plenty of whatever I want calories free.
Stay busy, helps that I work most of the day.
A big help is that mentally I know it’s only for one day and the next day I can have whatever I want, within reason.

Thanks, slept a lot better last night. Haven’t eaten breakfast yet and not even that hungry.
 
It'll probably work but it's also a good way to develop an eating disorder once you go off the diet.

Already have eating disorder that’s why I’m so fat. Would welcome when that keeps me slim. :feelshaha:
 
I eat like 1000 a day. I only eat two small meals, this must be why i am underweight
 
If you want to lose weight, work out, you'll have muscles and lost weight

Faster again today. Was rather easy. Only difficult thing is it’s Friday night which usually I have something good and some beer. But I’ll go to bed in a few hours and make eggs and sausage in the morning.

It’s really amazing how the first day is so much more difficult. The rest are a lot easier.

Been doing m-w-f fasting and today was the easiest. I never even got hungry. Sure i could eat but was really not much of a challenge today. Hopefully it stays this easy or gets easier.

it gets easier for sure over time. I have been doing OMAD this month and it is not hard at all. Next steps would be to minimize carbs and sugar during meals. I normally do this but rn have been eating at my mosque since they are bringing good dishes(brownies,pasta, lasagna,cake) sadly most are carb heavt

What is the progress by the way?

I have been at the my routine for a while. I reached around 187lbs when was around 214 lb when I started in late January. My weight varied but I think it largely because of water weight, high food consumption in lb (still under 2500 to 2000 calories), and new muscle gain; the weight loss looks noticeable after a few day and my stomach fat is much comparable or much lower than I was around 176 lb a few year ago from a under 1000 calories omad fast.
I recently got a compliment out of nowhere I was out from a woman about seeing my smile despite initially having a mask. Lifefuel on starting to not be invisible when I was for most of life.
