It's a travesty how the global economic meltdown has resulted in all this cost cutting in anime.

3D is alright if it's done like in Attack on Titan (CGI backgrounds and animations) and even Dragonball Super (Super Saiyan auras though DBZ hand drawn auras were way cooler).

But when an anime is entirely 3DCG that is just fucking disgusting. A travesty.

I thought the animations were pretty well done. But it feels like the technology isn't quite there yet.

I don't see the point since they can draw using computer tablets or even entirely digitally without having to resort to 3D models.

You can even use cost cutting techniques like copy and pasting saved faces/poses with digital drawing.

Yeah I don't really like it. But as long as CG doesn't completely take over I don't mind watching a show occasionally.

Honestly I don't give a fuck about animation.

Akira has beautiful animation but dog shit art style.

Art style and character design is always better than animation.

That's why I like Kotoyama's Dagashi Kashi so much.
