It's the only subreddit where I've seen a post exposing lookism in dating receive more upvotes than the "personality" stuff. Here's an example of a meme that received more than 50k upvotes:

What highlighted to me the importance of getting a career that I enjoy was that I knew there wouldn't be any other aspect to my life beyond sleeping, so my career is very important to me. I'll never have a wife and children.

A good life but without a wife and children (e.g. money, status, holidays, career, etc) wouldn't make want to LIVE but I wouldn't actively be wanting to DIE like I am now.
