It's Over $25 for 3 bars of cloth washing soap

I visited USA in my dream today. Now how did I manage to afford that trip is something that was skipped over. It did feel like I was strolling around and ended up in the university grounds of East coast USA.

There I went to a local supermarket in an entirely ethnic neighbourhood and found that the price of a packet of 3 soap is $25. And I was amazed and terrified that I have to pay 100x for the same brand and more or less the same quality of soap than I would have living where I do. I had to ask my sister how she managed to survive living here with these costs.

So, can anyone who lives in Massachusetts, USA confirm if this is the actual cost of buying soap in USA.

Sounds expensive but what kind of soap? For hand washing or clothes washing? Bar of hand soap is much cheaper for most brands, but yeah sure small niche brands could be expensive like that.

But overall there are fine soaps for cheap here. Many other expensive things to worry about than soap.

It was a local brand of clothes washing soap. I'm not even sure if they sell it in USA. But that did appear to be the case in my dream
