• The pair wed in June 2016 and returned to Ciudad Caribia, a government-owned housing development in Caracas where Thamy lived, while awaiting her US visa
• It was then that they were arrested for what the US government argued were bogus charges of stockpiling weapons
• While imprisoned, Holt was forced to defecate on newspaper in his cockroach infested cell, and didn't take a real shower for two years
• Thamy says she was brutally tortured by members of Venezuela's feared spy agency Bolivariano de Inteligencia Nacional (SEBIN)
