10 years ago men used to brag about their "SO", post couples pics on FB, talk about their future kids and brag about that shit constantly

I never hear men talk about their GF anymore. Probably because every woman including the 1/10 landwhales have sky high standards and only wants genetically elite god tier Chad.

99% of men in a LTR are cucked beyond salvation.

this. 00s had hypergamy at an all time low. then it skyrocketed once shit like tinder and instagram got big in the 10s.

now they have a couple profile where they aren't allowed to post unless their SO agrees

people have troubled relationships and never speak about them

if your wife is a single mom threatening to throw you out of your own house, there's not a lot to brag about

As someone who couldn't get women in the aughts either, I don't see much of a difference.

i'm curious too what would make the 00s have low hypergamy

the era i have a soft spot for is the late 90s, it wasn't totally degenerate and there was a general optimism then related to the rise in computer/internet technology where you couldn't tell where it would stop and what it could do for us yet.
for whatever reason it's like a little paradise island for me where you have a reasonable amount of progress technologization, art and movies are still pretty cool, and degeneracy isn't too awful or at least not noticeable. but it might just be childhood nostalgia and nothing else.

Sounds doubtful. Care to elaborate?

i had a statistic on male celibacy rate timeline. it was the lowest in 00s and the timeline began at 80s or 90s. it skyrocketed around 2010.
